KDDI Internet Gateway (Overseas Gateway)

KDDI’s largest backbone in Japan and overseas enables high-bandwidth, low-latency Internet connections. For overseas connections, the backbone is built in the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Singapore, making it possible to connect directly with high capacity.

The KDDI Network Operations Center operates SLA (Service Level Agreement) monitoring, BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) session monitoring, and traffic anomaly monitoring 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Additionally, network traffic is constantly monitored and planned network upgrades maintained for higher performance.

In the event of a failure, staff will promptly check the situation, contact the customer by fax or email, and implement restoration work. In addition, inquiries from customers are also accepted 24 hours a day.

It is possible to select IPv4 only, IPv6 only, and IPv4/IPv6 combination on a single line, and select them according to the form of use. The following routing services are available to meet your needs.

24 hours a day, 365 days a year, dedicated staff constantly monitor your network to ensure a stable and comfortable network.
We also provide a 24-hour contact number for inquiries from customers. We accept consultations regarding the occurrence and use of malfunctions.

There are four SLA targets, each of which can be guaranteed with guaranteed values.

• "Failure notification time"
• "Packet Loss Ratio"

If the quality falls below the guaranteed value, the usage fee will be reduced in part.
The SLA applies to all customers using the KDDI Internet Gateway (Overseas Gateway) service. There is no need to complete any of the application procedures or additional fees.
KDDI will continue to strengthen its SLA and aim to further improve its quality.

If you will be using your email server or WWW server with your domain name in your home, please have your DNS ready.

IP addresses used in the customer network will be assigned from the KDDI CIDR (classless inter-domain routing) block in accordance with the JPNIC agreement.
The IP address allocated to the customer must be returned when the KDDI service is terminated. For the IP address set in the WAN port (port connected to KDDI) of the customer router, KDDI will assign one IP address for each contract.

KDDI local staff will provide support in the local language not only for the Japanese side but also for local staff on the overseas side before and after the solution is introduced.
