Simple plan

WAN monitoring operation is performed for customers configured with "KDDI Wide Area Virtual Switch" etc.
KDDI monitors routers for WAN connections installed at customer locations throughout Japan 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.


Content of monitoring operation provision

By monitoring over the WAN, you can quickly isolate whether the location of the error is the WAN or the router for the WAN connection.
When an abnormality is detected, contact the person in charge of customer operation by automatic e-mail and telephone, and if there is a WAN failure, recovery will be performed promptly.
In addition, in the event of a device failure, we can support a quick resolution by contacting the device vendor on behalf of the customer.


Operation is realized through standardization of operations (SOP)

It is possible to accurately and quickly monitor and operate based on the standard operation procedure (SOP) that has been defined in advance in accordance with the customer's network.

  • Note 1: Ping alive monitoring will be performed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for the interface of monitored equipment.
  • Note 2: Automatic email notification will be sent to the customer-designated destination upon failure occurrence and recovery.
    It is also possible to divide the email recipients for each monitoring site.

Contact by telephone for malfunctions The failure status and line failure isolation result status will be notified to the customer's designated destination as appropriate by telephone.
Proxy arrangement for equipment repair We will make arrangements for troubleshooting with vendors designated in advance by the customer.
Device operation Upon request from the customer, the user shall log in to the device to be monitored and perform the specified operations in advance.
IF Monitoring (SNMP Monitoring) The interface status monitoring using SNMP Get is performed on monitored devices, and an automatic email is sent to the customer designated destination for status changes.
