This is information on "Zscaler Private Access (TM)" (security) for KDDI Business.

What is Zscaler Private Access (TM)?

Provides comfortable and secure remote access anywhere

Zscaler Private Access(TM) (ZPA) is a service that allows access to internal systems and applications without the use of VPN devices even at small offices that are outside the office or only on the Internet.
Virtual connectors are used to configure the network on the cloud, enabling simple and flexible remote access.

Features

1. Detailed access settings

Access control to in-house applications and applications on private clouds is possible through the "Cloud Policy Engine (Brokers)" authentication function (Note).
This enables access control in various units, from user units to organizational units.

  • Note) The authentication standard is SAML2.0.

2. Realization of secure remote access

By installing "Zsaler-APP" on the device, it is possible to mediate access from the user's terminal side.
Secure remote access via TLS 1.2 connection is possible.


3. Cloud partnership with virtual connectors

By placing "Z-CONNECTOR", which is a virtual connector, in the first stage of the application server of the public cloud service used by the customer, it is possible to perform encrypted communication with "Zscaler (TM)" and TLS 1.2. This contributes to the prevention of DDoS attacks by preventing applications from being made public.

Simultaneous use with Zscaler Internet Access (TM)

Zscaler's multi-tenant cloud security platform

Zscaler Internet Access, a Cloud Proxy Service(TM) (abbreviation: ZIA) and the remote access service ZPA can be used simultaneously through Zscaler-APP.
When both ZIA and ZPA are used, the user can realize secure and seamless access by simply installing Zscaler-APP on the terminal.

Japanese Support Service

KDDI will make inquiries to manufacturers who only support English on behalf of them.
We also check the operation status of various functions.

Operation agency service

In addition to the above support service, I will perform additional user activities for Zscaler (TM), configure a blacklist or whitelist, and update PAC files on my behalf.
By acting on our behalf for some of the operational tasks performed by our customers on a daily basis, the burden on their Zscaler (TM) operational tasks will be reduced, and we will be able to focus on the tasks that should be performed.
